Garden Entry

This project sought to amplify the Owner’s joyful stewardship of this Queensland house when tasked to replace the front stairs.

Existing motifs and an existing colour palette were drawn upon to make a comfortable stair, linked to a gatehouse on the street by a garden path. A native garden replaced grass with swale to negotiate overland flow.

A decorative fence was added to open the house to the street in a delightful way, creating a new appreciation of the front yard for the residents and neighborhood.
